at first it can feel like 'oh my god how can i put up with this' but that only lasts like 2 mins and they just feel like part of you. i had braces for over 3 years and it felt so strange not to have it there...whilst it was annoying getting apple stuck in your teeth it was definately worth it.
they don't hurt at all :) but do ache if they tighten them too much, but that's not so bad.

They take a while to get used to. I had mine for fives years (I got them off today!) and it was totally worth it. I have perfectly straight teeth now.
The only down points are that it takes forever to floss (if you bother), food gets stuck, and you have to rule out Starburst, gum, etc. Even though people say you can still chew on them, don't. It's not smart.
When you go to get them tightened every 6 weeks or so, they'll be sore for a day (take some advil, you'll be fine!). But really, thats about all the discomfort/problems I've had with them.
Just think of how great your smile will be once you get done!

Getting them on don't hurt one little bit, but once their on your teeth start to hurt a bit because they're starting to move already.
My teeth were really bad, and that night I 1st had them I cried because my teeth were moving and it hurt alot, but that only lasted 1 or 2 days.
My teeth never really hurt anymore, they do get a bit sore after an adjustment though, but not to bad.
They don't hurt when they get taken off either.
And threw all the big pain and little bits of pain, I think they are TOTALLY worth it, I get mine off in 4 weeks or so, I'm so exited.
With me and the way my teeth were, it actually hurt to eat scrambled eggs, so I lived on mashed potatoes for a while. But it's only a bit bad in the start, but like I said everything is worth it.
I look at pics before I had braces and I look at my teeth now, and I thank my parents for making me get them. Every time I see my old crooked teeth I want to hurl lol
I love that I got braces! =D

Braces do hurt in the beginning. Look at it like this though, when you go older, you will not go through the stages of depression just because your teeth aren't straight and in order. Your smile will be just as BEAUTIFUL as the next persons'. They will not hurt for long once you get used to them. Good luck.

They are not that bad. They hurt the first week or two, I had to eat soup the whole time. But after that it's all good. And it's not that bad when you get your braces tightened.

they arent that bad. ive had them for like 17 months (coming off in a week :D ) and at first it was hard to eat solid foods, then they were fine until the first time they tightened them again.. it hurt a lot but with some advil everything was okay.. honestly, braces arent that big of a deal anymore. dont worry about it and you'll figure out first hand for it all (plus afterwards u will have one dazzling smile!) hhaha good luck!

They are okay. Sometimes they cut into the back the back of your mouth so make sure they are cut enough.Otherwise they usually only hurt when you first get then and when you get then tightened.

They hurt the first few days after they adjust them. Also they hurt your social life.
