Just want to take as many movies as I can without maxing out my storage. Is there a commercial program or process that will allow max storage without using 7.5 G per disc? This is for personal use only.

u can copy enitre dvds with all subtitles and audio
and compress them using dvd shrink
which is found for free at
http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_shrink.cfm

you can also try other encoding software which convert to avi and can save u much more disk space

good luck in Iraq

Going to watch on PC, or stand alone player?
Either way, you need something to remove encryption from DVD.
http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html will remove encryption,
has a free unlimited 21 day try period.
Watching on PC--> I would make into Dvix files instead of 7.5gigs, will be from 600MB, to how ever large you want.

Watching on stand alone DVD player,
clonedvd2 will compress, and burn around 4.36 gigs.

Also has a free 21 day try.
