The military draft should never been ended in the first place. Military or national service should be compulsory.

Im already in the service...but if i were not my answers would be:
1. NO
2. NO
3. I would only oppose it if the children of the mega-rich (politicians-actors) were given a "easy way out" and didnt have to serve as they were in Vietnam and Korea. If a draft is ever started EVERYONE should be subject to it. Everyone from the Presidents kids all the way down to some janitors kids. whats fair is fair. This is where Rangal is coming from-and i somewhat agree with him. If the president or members of congress knew their kids would be drafted and sent to fight the war, they might not be as eager to start a war.
Its not gonna happen anyways so dont worry. Unless something major happens such as war with North Korea or Iran, i really dont think its gonna happen.

Oh, you bet. You can bet your life on it there will be another draft. GWB, has said that he won't bring in another draft, but he's never stayed true to his word. Except about invading Iraq and bombing Afghanistan.
I have already left the country.
I would protest if my country follows lead of the US.
And yes, I certainly oppose the war, and the draft.
But you know what? If you're on the outside looking in, and if you've travelled to other countries and paid attention to how others are forced to live in countries victimized by the US, like Iraq, you would probablly agree with me that it is high time the US got a taste of it's own medicine. They've never seen the horrors of war on their own soil. And don't mention 9/11 as a act of war, because it was an inside job.

Oh i only hope so! I would love to be drafted! That would be a hoot and a holler. Im 40 and very out of shape. It would take another 10 years for them to work the weight off of me and get me battle ready.

Dont believe the propaganda. The only ones pushing for the draft are the democrats to scare the public about the war, it will not be re-instated.

Let's be specific here... the "some crazy people" are a few Democrats in the House.
No reality-based person thinks there should be a draft. It's all just a bunch of scare tactics.
Hope this helps.

There is no need for a draft. Your data are inaccurate.
An army comprised of draftees is far less efficient than a smaller all volunteer force.

if by "crazy people" you mean the DEMOCRAT Charlie Rangel, then you are correct, its been brought up for the past 3 years or so, and HE (even though he brings it to the floor) votes against it.
he trying to make some stupid point...and everytime, the others just roll their eyes.

No to all of them if your an Honorable American. My thoughts are if you want to keep this a free country, you better be able to step up to the plate if the need arises. Anyone that won't fight for their country, doesn't belong here.

I've done my 8 years commitment already so i don't have to worry about it. But, i think they should have the draft but stricter guidlines on who gets in. No potential section 8's, no homo'sno pansies and less women
