I live in a city on the west coast of Florida. The ocean effects my life in so many ways. The ocean effects what I do for fun and the culture in the area. Most communities on the coast, like mine, are also ussually have a more seafood based diet. Living on the coast can also affect weather. Weather here is very different than, say, Nebraska. Living so close to the water is actually not incredibly healthy. During algal blooms the toxins in the air can be blown into the city causing health problems for many people.

Even though I have never lived on or even near the coast, I beleive that the ocean would affect peoples everyday lives a lot. (Especially in their skin tone!) It could affect their lives in ways such as what they eat (seafood possibly more than a person that lives in ohio), what they do in their pastime, and litteraly how they live. I'm sure there are many other things and ways that i does so except i just can't think of them right now. Look forward to another answer from me. Good luck.

Affect their lives as far as health? The air is healthier and cleaner, because of the sea breezes that are prevalent most of the time. The ocean helps in keeping the air from getting too dry, making it better for people with sinus conditions. For economic reasons? It is not economical, because home insurance is higher than it is living inland, because of the constant risk of flooding and damaging coastal storms.

The most wonderful thing about living next to the ocean, is being able to take a walk, or sit in your car, watching the waves, and really being able to relax to the sound of the waves crashing. I live very close, and never take it for granted. The ocean is such a "feel good" place for me to unwind.

There are many answers to this question. The one that comes to mind first is the cost . The cost is substantially higher but the salt air is refreshing, as well as damaging to vehicles so it is a give and take environment. Get a healthier view but do extensive damage to your vehicle.

It's a health booster! With lots of sunshine and fresh air (cold as it may be), it adds to their overall health. It encourages excercise, too!
