Supposed to be one at Northwood Headquarters near Pinner. Apparently there is a massive underground complex there to coordinate NATO forces & where the goverment would relocate to in event of war. At least thats what I've heard......

You can see it on google earth, sandy lane between northwood & watford.

There are quite a few in the country at strategic points, however there are none that i am aware that are open to the public.

Northwood, is the home of the Chiefs of the armed forces amongst some others and also where one of many bunkers are.
There are rumoured to be hundreds of shelters around London and the Home counties

There are a few good books on this subject if you want to read up on it, alternativley look at Subterrana Brittinica or something like that who go out and visit these sites that are now dissused.

Also there is the Infamous London tunnels connecting ll of whitehall an the royal family for use in a Nuclear explosion, again chesk out the search engine and all shall be reveled.

If you want a nuclear shelter, just cover your house in layers and layers of lead paint. That makes the perfect nuclear bomb shelter.
