I am just a kid and this thing hurts!!!!!! I have an expander and every time I go to eat it hurts...PLUS I get food stuck up in the top of it. ALSO I sound so weird when I talk and keep having to suck up the spit!!! Help! I hate this thing! I have cried like 7 times today and I'm so hungrey because I can't eat!!!!

Yeah, I know.... Try making yourself a bunch of smoothies --- Yogurt, berries, brown sugar, some vitamins.... and for other stuff, leafy stuff like spinach, kale, and carrots in V-8 juice... That's what I had to do. Soups work, just put them in the blender.... put everything in the blender.... I hated mine.

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do. You will get more use to it the longer it is in place.
My daughter went through that whole thing. I made soft foods like casseroles and she ate a lot of soup and yogurts.
