Yes, some are harder than others, mainly it is due to the type of job they do.
Hardest to easiest:
Marines
Army
Navy
Air Force
Coast Guard
remember also, they have different lengths of training

USMC Basic training is the hardest. If someone in the marines wants to join another branch, they just transfer. If some in another branch wants to join the Marines, they have to go to Marine Basic Training.
It's longer and harder than any other branch's basic.

Yes, combat arms schools are harder, without question. They have to be one mistake could be costly.
although I was an 11b10 in the Army, I do believe that Marine Boot camp is tougher that Army Basic training. Just my opinion.

Yes...Marine corps boot camp is 13 weeks long, army is 9 weeks long, and navy/airforce is 6 weeks long.
Marine boot camp is by far the most brutal, you have land and sea exercises (most combat related). then army wit land exercises(also combat related), then navy with some nominal (not to be confused with trivial--hard but a smaller version of marine exercises) (not so combat related) water exercises, then airforce which is just a lot of yelling....just kidding (but it is the easiest)

Yes. Paris Island for the USMC is the hardest. Don't let any Hollywood Marines tell you different.
