The safest route to go would be to buy another barrel........
if you are not able to properly remove a choke tube then how qualified are you to say "the barrel is fine"....
if you had cross threaded the choke tube who knows what angle the choke tube will be off.....next time you shoot

If getting a replacement wrench doesn't work, you could get a choke removal tool. These might ruin the choke tube but usually the barrel is okay. However, I would first try soaking the muzzle area in a powerful solvent like kroil or kerosene at least 24 hours, and if that doesn't work, try a further day or two soaking. If none of that works, you should probably try a good gunsmith, since the choke removal tools are usually more expensive than going to a gunsmith.

loose change works great on a choke tube. I have a Jeep and my Jeep key even works on it! anti-seize should fix your problem. Sometimes choke tubes will do that when they haven't been cleaned in a long time or if rust gets in the barrel, so you might want to check for those things also. But sometimes it's something that just happens.
Good luck and happy shooting!

On my 20 gauge I don’t have a wrench, I use a dime to install and remove with out trouble.
I don’t go past finger tight and have never had one come loose or freeze up.
But there may well be a heavy duty wrench out their some where.
You might try the Link I attached

Don't listen to the guy who said to get the Remington I have witnessed an 870 that caused a shell to blow up in someones face while they were skeet shooting not once but twice. I believe that both Cabela's and Bass Pro sell what you are looking for.
