My upstairs neighbors enjoy having rather loud sex at 4am in the morning. I'm happy that someone in the building is getting their grove on but I personally enjoy sleep at that hour. My landlord is doing nothing about this. What should I do?

Ask your landlord again, maybe in a more persuasive manner...
if that doesnt work, go up there, knock on their door and tell them it just isnt acceptable to make all the noise they do at the hour they do. they arent going to get physical about something like that, and if they do then you either beat the hell out of them or you get them for assault.
hopefully they just stop tho. good luck :)

they should because tenants are suppose to keep the noise down between 10pm and 7,8 or 9am. im not sure the exact. i have one neighbor that leaves around 4am and always slams the door. i know im not the only one who hears this. there are two other apts below him and my bedroom is next to his kitchen/living/dining room. thats where the front door is. ive let my cat out on a couple of occasions after hes spent a good hour cleaning it and she loves to walk all over just cleaned cars. im sure theres a website that can tell you your rights. send a copy to your neighbor and one to the landlord.

go knock on their door and ask if they want a live visual audience..your tired of just being their audio one. just kidding.. try catching them in the hall during the day and ask them if they could please try and tone it down a bit.. if that doesnt work talk to the landlord again...and if that doesnt work, call the cops and file a disturbing the peace notice...

LOL I had the same problem... I got a broom and hit the ceiling with it and they stopped right away! try doing it every time they get a little TOO into it.

Move-I don't really know what other options you have- have you tried talking to them, or leaving them a note on their door-Good luck.

You could write them an anonymous letter. They might not know they're being heard.
