Of course, if your neighbours have shells in their curtains they should be removed first before you do your delicate shrimp design. Its always a good idea when room is needed for shrimp.
I wonder if you are also going to plant some beans in there somewhere.

I would leave the shells on, the prawns will last a bit longer that way, there is no stink like a long stink. Any prawns that are left over, push down between the floor boards, for that little extra effect.

It's not supposed to be your neighbor. It's supposed to be your ex-wife, ex-husband. That way you can get the house back after it smells like rotting shrimp and they'll take the curtains with them when they move.

why are you sewing them? most curtains have that folded over area at the bottom, you can just stick them in there.
