Isnt that why i am here? To live my life, to protect myself, to give my friends and family love, to provide for my family, to laugh, to cry, to work and achieve... why should i do all that AND worship God... maybe there would be less Atheists if it wasnt such a demand! "God needs to be worshipped" "You must worship Jesus, or you will be sent to hell" etc etc

The whole worship thing makes no sens to me whatsoever. Why does such an all-powerful being demand to be worshipped? Is he that insecure? And god said "worship me or be condemned forever", sounds pretty childish to me for such an advanced being.

The Bible is God's word, and you can think of it as your "owners manual" to help you fulfill all of those good and admirable things you want to do.
It is necessary to realize that there is something bigger than ourselves and our own little sphere of influence in order to function in this world, and be ready for the world to come.
It should not seem burdensome. It should bring freedom, or something is not quite in line. This sometimes takes time to work out.

Further comments:
The study of Solomon's life in Ecclesiastes is interesting. This is a self-biography of the life of a man who was the wealthiest person who ever lived. Much of his wealth came from being a corrupt politician, but what is really interesting is that he was not satisfied. All his gain led only to wanting more. He became cynical and commented that (paraphrased) "all is vanity and chasing of the wind".
In the end, even he acknowledged that life is empty without a relationship with the Creator.
Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them"-- 2 before the sun and the light and the moon and the stars grow dark, and the clouds return after the rain; 3 when the keepers of the house tremble, and the strong men stoop, when the grinders cease because they are few, and those looking through the windows grow dim; 4 when the doors to the street are closed and the sound of grinding fades; when men rise up at the sound of birds, but all their songs grow faint; 5 when men are afraid of heights and of dangers in the streets; when the almond tree blossoms and the grasshopper drags himself along and desire no longer is stirred. Then man goes to his eternal home and mourners go about the streets. 6 Remember him--before the silver cord is severed, or the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, or the wheel broken at the well, 7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

Just remember God's love when your time of testing comes.
1 Corinthians 13:8-13
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me. 12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. 13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God needs our worship. He never ordered us to worship Him, He just ordered us to obey His rules (don't lie, don't steal, etc). We worship because we want to.
And, from a Christian standpoint, the first part of your question isn't really what we believe. I don't believe humans were made to work, bear children, and die. I believe humans are born to enjoy serving God.
That is the difference between believers and nonbelievers. Religious people (whether Jewish, Muslim, whatever) believe that life isn't really about themselves to begin with. Nonbelievers think it is.
Religious people are willing to spend their life in service of God. Atheists aren't. I'm not being rude, I'm simply telling the truth. That's the fundamental disagreement.

God's needs are more important than your needs. He is more powerful than you are. He is more powerful than anyone.
Matthew 4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
Deuteronomy 4:25 When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:
Unless you repent of this blasphemous attitude and foolish talk, there will come a day that God will answer your question, and you wont' like the answer you get.
Mark 3:29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation.

God doesn't need anything. I don't know who told you that. If he did, he wouldn't be God. What could we possibly do that God couldn't do better?
It is we who need God's love, and love goes both ways. Don't worry about your obligations to God for a while. Think about what you've got. If you consider the good things you have, you will feel better and be more able to do what you need to do.

Lets clarify a few things. Since sin, mankind is less than perfect. Perfection is YHVH's standard. YHVH sent the Savior YAHOSHUA so that by receiving Him man could receive the perfection needed to live in a perfect world. If a person chooses not to receive this gift, then he cannot live in the perfect world, and therefore, when the Almighty cleanses this world with fire, and burns up all sin (prior to making this world new, and perfect) then those people attached to their sins will be burned up with the sins they refuse to give up. How could the Almighty be more generous???? Obviously it is all about worship. The adversary desires to be worshipped, and our salvation requires us to be in a right relationship with the Almighty.

Try being a bit more selfless and a bit less selfish and you'll find your needs being met in abundance, but only if you include God in the equation.

no longer a God who's appropriate....for perfection skill completeness. regrettably the god of the bible is something yet appropriate. he's a ineffective, jealous, egomaniac who desires worhsippers to fall on their faces in the airborne dirt and airborne dirt and mud and kiss his clay ft. No diverse than any of the mythical gods who preceeded him. What obtainable desire ought to a appropriate God have for the scent of 199 slaughtered and burning animals????? Why could a appropriate God could promulgate 632 ridiculous proscriptions to maintain his 'worshippers' in line??? what style of appropriate God needs to have his followers Kill, and Kill, and Kill, and Kill....till it turns into sickening to even think of of this monster as God????? ought to absolutely everyone with a ethical experience want to spend even one minute in the employer of this sort of large god, no longer to show an eternity?????

2 Tim.3:1-5 "know this that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be hear. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money,self-assuming,haughty,blasphemers,disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control,fierce,without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power."

I'm sorry you feel this life is about your needs.
God doesn't need worship he desires it and our love because he loves us. He did send his son to die for our sins and only because of his grace we can be saved none of us deserve it.
Loving God is not a demand it's a choice and if he never did anything else for me his love and grace by sending his only son to die for me is enough.
