Maybe you care for the backstory, maybe you don't, but here it is: During spirit week my male English teacher took a picture of me and him on 'fake an injury day' (I had some killer "bruises" and they looked real. And he wanted to take a picture of the two of us) Well, apparently over the weekend or last night he put up this board of pictures of students and him from spirit week, which included up there was the picture of me and him. (In the picture he had this really weird smirk on his face ((imagine a lame attempt at a sexy smirk...))) And then the caption below it read: It was a rough night. Now, I know he could've meant fighting, but with the smirk and how he treats me in class, it makes me think he meant it the another way. He sits on my desk all the time, and says some other things that have innuendo to me as well, but I've brushed it off until now. I've asked people already, but I want some unbiased opinions. Am I being paranoid or do I have something to actually worry about?

This man's behavior is wholly inappropriate and borderline illegal for a teacher-student relationship. Take the photo down then talk to your guidance counselor, principal, or school nurse about what all he has done and they will take the proper action.
Take care and best of luck! :-)

Hey, at first I thought no, your just being dramatic, then when you said the thing about him sitting on your desk- that is just wrong. The whole thing is wrong. I have 2 answers to what you should do. 1 is take the picture down. Don't talk to him unless it is absolutely necessary, never ever be alone with him. The other thing you can do is write an anonymous letter to the principal at your school tell him to check out the picture board in your class room. Good luck and be careful.

You are in fact experiencing sexual harassment. Sexual harassment can be anything from a person making lude gestures or words that make you uncomfortable. But They don;t have to say a thing. If you feel uncomfortable where you work or go to class is considered a hostile work or class environment. Now, Your teacher has the right for you to tell him to knock it off because the next time you will report him. That part of this is the law. you have to tell him to quit. After that you have the right to go to the dean. Personally, I'd tell him AND go to the dean.

Just from the picture and caption I'd say no, you are over-reacting. It sounds like he just meant fighting. If he is really saying inappropriate things to you in class, etc., though, you should definitely tell someone.

Id say paranioa is definately the option here. If it makes you uncomfortable definately report it. however Im thinking hes just a teacher trying to be "cool". If he makes you feel uncomfortable again advise him that one of the first things they teach you in any higher level education psycology class in College says there should be a line between treacher and student. And suggest he review the notes for that day.

If it was 20 years I'd tell you to relax, but the way people are today, I may be somewhat concerned. Have you thought about talking to a guidance counselor about this?

Well my first guess is you are reading too much into it.
he may be a jerk and a perv but you sound like you are looking for these qualities in him.
But as far as assertiveness and self accountability goes I think it is your responsibility to tell the guy you do not appreciate his form of humor and ask him to NOT put his butt on your desk anymore.
Your a big girl and if his behavior bothers you then ask him to stop.
If after that he continues then you have an issue.

I would take a tape recorder to class and tell him that you are recording the notes in class. If he says something that you feel is not proper take the tape to your counselor. Also talk to your parents.

Somewhere in your story a GIANT red flag went up. At first I thought it was innocent - but by the end it sounds like you might have reason to be concerned.

Hey, I know how you feel and you really aren't being to paranoid. Honestly, he is way out of line and you should say something about it. I've been there before btw, you're not alone.
