Absolutely none!! She was a terrible cook.
It is a joke amongst the family that I must have been found on the doorstep because of my almost from birth interest in cooking and the fact that I am now a trained chef!

Her worst dish has to be 'Lop Scouse' which is a genuine liverpudlian lamb knuckle stew. She would boil up potatoes, onions and carrots and add corned beef to it. That was it!! Thank god for HP Brown sauce!

My Mother was an absolutely fabulous cook & everything was home baked & delicious. I miss all of her cooking, not as much as I miss her though. Sadly she passed away from breast cancer when I was 8 years old. But I could never forget her gorgeous home made cooking. If I had to choose the food I miss the most it would be her Corned beef pie & also he Apple Tart - yummy yummy yummy !!!!!!

My mum, bless her heart, was also the school cook at my school. So all the stories about manky school dinners unfortunatley we re-played for me at home! On a good day, she didnt even cook, just brought left overs from work!
Every once in a while now, we all go round for sunday dinner and we joke about who will get the one bit of steam. Its usually cold and theres not enough to go round, but we love her anyway!
Wouldnt have you any other way Ma!!!!

My mom used to make me and my best friend this dish after we'd come home from a basketball or softball game, we'd devour the whole pan sometimes!

Fried potatoes with ground beef, chopped green onion and melted cheese on top.

Doesn't sound like much - but MAN it was good!!!

Mutton curry. I have given up meat eating. If my mother were to come alive and cook the mutton curry, I would go back to non-vegetarianism for two reasons:- one for the love of my mother and another for the kind of preparation, the conventional preparation, without the frills of to day.

My mum is Italian and she makes the best lasagne in the world. Although I've never tasted a bad meal made by her. She lives at the opposite end of the country from me now so I always request it when I go to visit!

Homemade beef tacos with lettuce, tomatoes and onion! She cooked the corn tortillas in oil in the skillet and then would put shredded cheese in them right out of the skillet so it would melt. Decadent, but awesome!
