Is the soul reserved for humans only? What is the energy behind the movement of organisms, is it the spirit or the soul? Anything that moves has some sort of soul or spirit(the mentality to move) controlling it, right? Dont animals have the same energy as us? Why wouldnt sperm cells have souls or spirits if they obviously can move?

Soul is a tiny spark of God. It has all the attributes of God, and is the basis of "Man in the image of God". Soul, like God, does not have physical characterics, so It is not something you appreciate with physical senses. But then Soul is what you are; your physical body (including your mind) is what houses Soul. Always think of yourself as Soul, a mini God, just as the tiniest droplet of rain is related to the mighty ocean. You do not have a Soul because you are Soul, not the physical thing that you see in the mirror.

Yes, animals are Soul too; and there is no such thing as superior or inferior Soul.

On the expiration of the physical body, Soul moves on to the next level of existence, the Astral Plane for most people. From there It may come back (reincarnate) to the physical world or move on to other worlds. The moment Soul enters a new body is at the point it takes its first breadth, not on conception.

It is not only things that move that have Soul; plants too are Soul. While many inanimate things are Soul, only whole organisms are Soul. Don't think of sperm cells, or blood cells as Soul, but you may consider even the tiniest bacterium as Soul.

G-d blew life into the nostrils of man and that only man has a soul. The energy behind movement of all organisms is G-dly whether or not it has a soul and that therefore all is G-dly. Animals have a level of G-dly energy which lower than man's and that plants have a G-dly energy which is lower than animals. Even dust has a G-dly energy which is yet lower than plants. Seeds have a G-dly energy too and they have a "potential" for turning into trees after all of the details have been formed in the process of development. Sperm cells in exactly the same way are the same as seeds that they have a "potential" for turning an embryo into a man. At the moment of conception, a soul is placed into the baby.

Every living things has its own energy to do something. That very energy is not the soul. In my view, the elements that need to be united and has some sort of rationality to control over the organism. Soul must be a an advance form of energy.

Those who are seers of the truth have concluded that of the nonexistent [the material body] there is no endurance and of the eternal [the soul] there is no change. This they have concluded by studying the nature of both.
That which pervades the entire body you should know to be indestructible. No one is able to destroy that imperishable soul.
For the soul there is neither birth nor death at any time. He is unborn, eternal, ever-existing and primeval. He is not slain when the body is slain.
This individual soul is unbreakable and insoluble, and can be neither burned nor dried. He is everlasting, present everywhere, unchangeable, immovable and eternally the same.
It is said that the soul is invisible, inconceivable and immutable. Knowing this, you should not grieve for the body.
you can perceive the soul through the consciousness. Soul are in different bodies, without soul nothing can exist, matter has no life, dead body has not consciousness, whereas human or animal body. We can not denied that animals have feelings also, because the soul is present.

souls enter a "body"(embryo) of an organism upon conception...i guess that shld ans ur last qn..all living things have souls..souls can also be said as inner self..u dont realise it ..u cannot sense it..but its within u ..only leaves when u die.. energy is different from soul..energy is something which is derived from food or fuel ..energy is external..souls are internal..souls are not subjected to external changes..movement or locomotion is supported by our physical means....so if anything needs to move energy is sufficient..that makes us different from non-living objects likes cars..etc which can move

Sorry, sir, but animals were not made in the image of God, humans were. Animals do not have souls. God did not breathe a soul into an animal but into Adam. No other creatures on the planet have souls.

You have the body, the spirit, the soul is the combination of the two. When we are resurrected, our souls are permanently connected, instead of just coexisting, like they are now.
