Some strange bloke sat in a chair in the sky judging us? Or quite possibly that we are all God? Or something. Im confused. I see a lot of zealouts here. A lot of conflicting opinions. Which one is right exactly? And why the infatuation with something that at the end of the day might not even exist. What will all these people do then? Just supposing.
We might just die and thats the end of that. Never to exist again.
Could this be why we have a need to believe in a god and an afterlife?

I do not think God is a who.

In fact I do not think he reallly exists exactly. God is more of a spirit, a divine idea. But don't get me wrong, he is REAL all the same. like... an idea that is real, almost like a ghost.

We have the choice to follow him, and if we do he will save us. meaning we will be in a good place for eternity.

um.... yeah i dunno

following the bible his supposed teachings is a good idea, I think it basically has got living down right.

Here's another thought. you want to know who/what God is exactly? God is sort of the pages of the bible. Go read the Bible and everything will be right there in your head.

And the last part.
We have no need what so ever to believe in god and an after life.
That is completly not necessary.
That thought is almost like God is a threat, saying that "if you do not believe in me, you will PAY and you will DIE"

The bible is not meant for anyone to be forced into believing or bullied into believing.
The bible is a guide to one's life.

Just like having a map on a trip. If you don't use it that's okay, though it might be tough or possibly go terrriblyyyyy wrong. If you do use it you have a nice way to your destination and could save you a lot of trouble.

Who knows though maybe if you do use this map you coulddd miss some great views.

See where life gets you and seek God from the Bible when you need him/it most. I don't think it matters who/what God is. What he can do for you in your lifetime is completely up to you.

God is the Supreme enjoyer, surrender by millions of goddess of fortune, playing eternally with innumerable friend. He possesses full beauty, full strength, full knowledge, full fame, full riches and full renunciation. He is busy enjoying the company of millions of beautiful eternally young girls. He is aloof from this creation even though He control everything. He expand Himself into many to enter in the heart of every living being, from aquatics, plants, reptiles, best, etc, and men. He is not directly judging us, He has delegate to do "the duty job".
Once you were a child. Now you are a grown man. Where is your childhood body? That body does not exist, but you still exist because you are eternal. The circumstantial body has changed, but you have not changed. This is the proof of eternality. The body is temporary and will not exist anymore after become dust, but the soul will exist to continue the long journey to go back to God.

Everyone is God conscious whether they realise it or not.
The Bible is God's inspired Word.
It has all the answers to your questions

Read these words which are found in the Bible from Romans chapter 1 verse 18-20

But God shows His anger from Heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the turth away from themselves. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge is their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and the sky and all that God made. They can clearly see His invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.

You need to follow your heart and seek the truth. I believe in the Holy Bible. I asked Holy Spirit in my heart, and that made the whole difference for me. God communicates to me through the Scripture, His Word. I have done my "homework" and I find the Bible very reliable book. I believe it is inspired Word of God, written by humans.

I believe this is only a temporary assignment. I believe in heaven and hell. I want to be with God...here and after. : )

Hi. :)
I can tell about God from my own experience. I think that God is our Father. He loves equally all people on the earth. As He really loves us, he knows the best what is good for us. That is why, He for instance recommends us not to kill. But it is not only a ban for a ban but is rather a lodestar for our godness and happiness. He knows everyone personally. The basic and probably the most difficult truth about God is His trinity. God is one in three persons - it may seem to be strange and incomprehensible. However, once I have heard a good explanation for that. Like the ice, the water and the water vapour is all the same but in three different forms, the God Father, the Son of God (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit are 'three-the only' God. Despite everything He cares for us and wants us to be in direct contact with Him to make us happy. In other words, praying we can talk to and listen to Him. He also left us a some kind of a love letter, that is the Bible. There Jesus says about Himself: I am the way, and the truth, and the life. (John 14,6). He also says that he is a bread that we should take and eat as it provides us with the eternal life after death. Then Jesus asks: Which of you shall convince me of sin? If I say the truth to you, why do you not believe me? He gave also the best promise in the world: And every one that liveth, and believeth in me, shall not die for ever. He was also very demanding (and that`s why true for me): But I say to you that hear: Love your enemies, do good to them that hate you. Bless them that curse you, and pray for them that calumniate you. Then He went to die, for every man on the earth without exception, on the cross saying: Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. Earlier he had said: If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; as I also have kept my Father's commandments, and do abide in his love. These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and your joy may be filled. This is my commandment, that you love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love than this no man hath, that a man lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends, if you do the things that I command you. Finally, Jesus was risen from death and went to heaven (where His Father lives:)) to prepare a place for us. But, as it is written: That eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither hath it entered into the heart of man, what things God hath prepared for them that love him. Life is wonderful. :)

I wish you all the best! :D

I'm a Christian. You must be an atheist. If I am right, and you are wrong, I get to have peace and joy in this life, and in all eternity. You lose peace and joy in this life and burn in hell for all eternity. If I am wrong, and you are right, I will still have peace and joy in this life and never know I was wrong. You will still lose peace and joy in this life and never know you were right. Who wins? Who loses? I hope you see clearly enough to want security in the hereafter. Get it while you can. If you do, you can at the very least have peace and joy in this life, too. Bless you.

He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel:
The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him.

I think God is a 50ft spirit being, who has constantly mingled with us, as a human. When he is not proving to us that he can take what he dishes out, he relaxes on his throne for about a millisecond before one of us needs him again.
