I want to get an R initial tattoo wiv my DOB underneath, but im not sure what way up it should go, so i can read it wen i hold my palm toward me, or so it can b read by others wen my arm is by my side. Plz help! xXx

Somebody is right, to give an example, I have a skull tattoo on my wrist. The skull's jaw is just above the palm of my hand. It's always upside down to me.

It seems that I am going against the crowd here but I would say that if you are getting a tattoo get if for you and not for anyone else, so I woudl have it so that it is the right way up for you, then if someone wants to see, you jst hold your wrist up so that it makes sense to them too.

NO! Jesus, I had this conversation last night with my tattooed friends, we all have them facing US. They're for US. It looks odd the other way up. If it's to face other people you're besically getting tattooed for other people. I don't see the point, I got my wrist tattoo for me.

I have 2 hearts on my wrist. I have them pointing away from me because they are easier to display that way. We do get tattoos for ourselves but we have to admit we love showing them off.

mine is on the inside of my left wrist so i can read it (if i knew arabic!), but if i was to show someone else, it's upside down (that's what the guy who tatooed me said anyway!)

I have 'Passion' written on one wrist, and 'Pain' on the other. They are upside down to me. It's your personal choice though! Whatever floats your boat honey!

its a tattoo for you, so you should be able to read it by looking straight down at it. i think you should get it facing you .
