Or should I treat her the best I can with over the counter meds and hope for the best. I cant stand her suffering and its hard to tell how much it hurts. I have PTSD and depression and cant handle this.

I have been treating her for allergies for the last 5 years, benadryl, and antibiotics for yeast infection in ears. She has been developing lumps under her chin and is constantly itching her face. Today I noticed a large hard lump in her Jowl on one side and a start of one on the other.
I cant go to local vet as she had me in court for non payment as she refused the 10 a month and I had no proof.

This is a sad question. I am a dog lover and I would not want to be in your place now."Grieving is the price we pay for love" is what I seen in the daily news today in reguards to the race horse that had to be put down. That was so sad to. Love your puppy and comfort her and when you know she is better off not suffering, love her as she is being put down. Then cry your eyes out, and if I where there I would cry with you. God Bless You ~~

You should call your local animal shelter, and tell them your plight..they MIGHT be able to send you to some people who will help you free of charge...I am sure if you call around, you will find some help,..without knowing what Her ailment is, it is hard for me to advise you to give her over the counter meds...God bless, and Good luck with your friend

tell the vet you can't afford the expensive therapies, and what low cost palliative treatment can you do. Know that you did your best for your pet in your situation. When she is at a point where she is suffering have her euthanized. 11 is old for a dog.

i am really sorry for this as I would not like to be in this position. I wouldn't be able to put an animal down. I think you should try contacting your local animal shelter maybe they can help.

You should put her down because watching her suffer will only hurt both of you. Most likely she has had 11 good years and be happy for that.

that is such a tough spot to be in....perhaps you can consult your vet...they often have suggestions that we wouldn't have come up with ourselves....good luck...i know how hard it can be to have mental health problems and try to be a loving caretaker to a pet
