how long should your bf go without seeing you or calling you, meaning what is acceptable.. just wondering

I'd say you should talk at least twice a week. If you are in a long distance relationship and he's broke, then it can be as long as once or twice a month.
You should talk this over with him and agree on how often you should check up on each other, if this is an issue. Remember, we guys usually don't need as much reassurance as the girls, so to him once a week might sound normal. But if that's not enough for you, you should tell him and figure things out together.
P.S. Most guys are not into long phone calls, so if you tend to drag the phone calls out when there's not much to talk about, then he might not feel like calling you that much. I'd say try to see each other at least as often as you talk on the phone, because the phone thing definitely gets old fast for us.

depends how new the relationship is and how much both of you feel is right. New relationships can get smothered quickly by seing each other too much too soon. Once the relationship is established, you have a better feel for how much the other person wants to see you.
The challenge is, if you call or see the other person more than they feel comfotable with, you will come across clingy and drive them away. Sometimes it is better to err the other way, absense makes the heart grow fonder. Also guys like to do the chasing, so if you come on too strong, they lose the thrill of the hunt.

It depends on where he's at..if he went on vacation or something, he should call you the first chance he gets when he comes back, but other than that, three or four days..I guess it also depends on how old ya'll are, too.

it depends on the level of commitment, what is going on in both of your lives, etc.
If you think you need more contact, then the thing to do is say so instead of expecting somebody to read your mind.
