Tell me about it I was attacked while I was in my car camaras all ova the place I call 999 and I ask for the police I'm telling them that i'm being attacked and what do they do the put me on hold, once the attack was ova I drove home and then the police call me back asking if I was ok, I told them they told me that the 4 camaras that were in the area were not working so they didn't get the licence plate, another time an uninsured driver crashed into me police turned up they didn't ask for any insurance nothing I got the drivers details the police told me not to get the car fixed, later that week I was stoped by police told the story they let me go a 3rd set of cops stopped me slap on 3 points on my licence and a £60 fine while the other uninsured driver got away scott free with out any fines or points. So go figure I swear if a cop asks for my help I will refuse cause they have always helped the criminals instead of the innocent.
a friend of mine had a intruder in his house he calls the police and tells them that theirs a thief in his house please send a police unit round, they tell him that their arn't any in the area, 5mins later he calls back and tells them I have killed the intruder within 2mins there were a about 8 cop cars surrounding his house, he turns round and tells them I thought there weren't any cops in the area, go figure.

Contray to your asinine question moron, bad guys do not call the cops and tell them the date and time they are going to commit their crime. Cops respond to the incident after it has happened and interview and collect evidence and then turn it over to investigators who will find and arrest the perp. As far as tickets, that is a enforcement duty that catches you in the act, as far as 5 mph over the limit I would be will willing to say it was more.Twice in my career of 20 years. I actual was there when a bad guy did his thing, one a bank robbery, two a assault..It is a good thing you cant be arrested for being stupid, because alot of people would be doing heavy time,

Becuz there 2 bust scoffing down doughnuts or rolling in the mud.I know what your saying though cuz they r never around when needed but u go up the street and there sitting in there cars chatting. They take there sweet time for eveything. We had a home invasion n it took 15 min for them cuz they decided to look for the teens before coming to our home to make sure we where ok.17 cops and not 1 checked on us.They get more attention for bringing in the money or a person then they do for taking a statement.

I know what you mean. One of my biggest fears is 911 putting me on hold,or calling me a liar and not responding. There have been noted cases of that recently.

I've wondered that myself at times ~ seems you always see them when their presence doesn't seem needed and that they're NEVER around when necessary! They can't be everywhere at all times, I guess!
