Basically what I'm doing is that I'm giving him a memory box with some stuff I put together for him. I also made him a really nice card with a heartfelt poem that I wrote. I made him a poem book with pictures I have taken as well. : } I'm doing all this stuff because Valentine's is our first anniversary. ♥
Well, I found this great website that has a lot of ideas that people sent in. A lot of great ideas... cheap, creative, sweet. So if you need ideas, here ya go:

OK try this, find out what are the most important thinks he likes (besides you), and search for a great picture of both of you kissing or whatever, then you can buy a rustic frame or you can make it with wood pieces. The important detail here is putting on the frame little images about his interest, for example if he's a football's fanatic, you can take from a football magazine an image of a ball, or a helmet and paste it on the frame around the picture, use 4 or 5 pics.

I dont know what your situation is but this is something I did for my boyfriend last year. I made little signs telling him I loved him and happy Valentines day..etc... and I put them on a little post ( made the signs on cardboard) and stuck them in the ground going all the way down his driveway. (he has a very long driveway... lives on a few acres.) Anyways... so as he was coming home from work he got to see my signs of love :) and at the end I had a card for him and a gift but I had a note saying he could not open it until we had dinner later that night. Just a thought... take and leave what you want :)
Good Luck

It really depends on what your guy likes.
If he likes sports, make him something involving his favorite team or player. If he likes gaming, do something involving his favorite game.
I find that designing custom shirts are great for guys, because then they can wear them around and the gift isn't useless. Example: my boyfriend is really into this book series so I bought some t-shirt transfers and a shirt. I made a custom shirt that represented the book with the same logos and a quote he loved from it on the front. This is particularly nice when there's no official t-shirts or merchandise for their favorite things! He wears it all the time :)
