For me it would be national hunt cause i love the longer races also it is more exciting over fences/hurdles.

Neither is better than the other. National Hunt is the original racing, where hunting horses would be raced against each other out of the hunting season to keep fir and see who had the fastest horse.
Flat racing is also wonderful, anyone who has been privaliged enough to see horses like George Washington, Rock of Gibraltar, Fantastic Light, Ouija Board, etc in recent years cannot fail to be amazed by their breathtaking supremecy over their competitors.
To hear the cheer that goes up at Cheltenham when the first race of the Festival starts says everything about how much people love this sport.
Throughbreds are meant to race, be it flat or national hunt, so let's make the most of seeing them whenever we can and show our appreciaition for the spectacle they provide for us day in day out.

Do you mean better for the punter or better for the spectator who just likes watching the racing? NH is probably a better spectacle but horses can get hurt and killed over jumps as can the jockeys.
From the punter's point of view, it's a matter of personal taste. If you want to back a winner, have a bet on the favourite in a novice hurdle - they often win for some reason.

i prefer the flat although 'proper' racing enthusiasts state the national hunt is HORSE RACING. i prefer the flat because there are no obstacles to affect the horses running ? ie hitting a fence or hurdle therefore losing ground and the difficulty in regaining its momentum . flat i think is what you see. the jockey { if capable} should be able to judge a race if he has a decent animal.going -course... etc applies to both codes therefore shouldnt apply. its up to the trainers to run them if either these two problems affect their horse.

Flat is kinder to the animal faster paced more of an adreniline kick for both jockey and horse.
Hunt is long more chances of injury to the animal looks to much like hard work for both jockey and animal and more chance of both been hurt

They are both cruel sports which should be banned immediately. Leave the horses alone.
