My tounge has grown back because I didn't wear the bar for a while, and now I want to wear one because I got some new ones for my birthday....my question is can I put a hole in it myself or should I go get it done again? And will it swell again like it did before? And will it hurt like it did when I got it done?

I'm not talking about repiercing the whole thing, just pushing it on through where it was before, there are still holes on the top and bottom, just the middle has grown back....THANKS

You could screw up big time if you try to pierce it yourself, you could hit a vein. Also if you're worried about the pain, I've found that piercing things myself hurts 100x more than having it professionally done. Probably because when I do it I hesitate, when they do it, they get it over with as fast as possible.

if you get it repierced in the same exact spot that you had it pierced before , it might hurt a bit more, and your tongue probably will swell like it did the first time, but I found that pamprin or midol works wonders for taking the swelling down.

I would say go back to the place that you got it pierced at and have the shove a needle through it real quick. It will more than likely swell back up like it did, and it may hurt worse because of the scar tissue from it healing up. Just don't do it your self, allot of bad things cal happen, like a larger risk or infection, you might pierce it crocked and allot of other things that you've probably already heard. You shouldn't just shove it back through though, it'll bleed bad and it will hurt worse than taking the time to just go to the place and get it re done. Well good luck with what ever you decide to do.

thats happen to me. Im not sure how long you've had it out but if you cant manage to poke it through yourself real quick or without it hurting its closed to much and you got to get it redone in the same spot, the piercer knows they do them all the time. and it will swell and might hurt a little because that skin will be pushed away again and will need to get used to it all over.

Take the new jewelry you got to the piercer and have it done over. It will swell and be sore and everything all over again
