Customary Anniversary Gifts

I purchased a gift for each of the anniversaries that my parents celebrated from the time I could make my own decisions. For their 25th, you should not only be giving them a gift, but giving them a Silver Anniversary party to celebrate. It's a milestone.

Buying your parents a gift for their 25th wedding anniversary would be very nice. I guess it depends on how old you are and how much money you are willing to spend.

The 25th anniversary is a big one (Silver). So, a nice card and maybe a gift card to a fancy restaurant would be nice!

Yes, usually for big anniversaries people buy gifts. You could buy them a certificate to their favorite restuarant. Dont get those cheesy 25th anniversary plates or plaques. Buy them something they can really use.

25th anniversary is silver. How about a nice family picture with them and you in a silver frame.

No, just tell them they should be thankful for having you!!!!!

Are you telling me that for the past 24 years give or take when you were very young, you have not bought a gift for your parents anniversary??? How about their birthdays, Christmas, Valentines, Mothers/Fathers Day? Did they buy you anything on your birthday? Yes you should buy them something on their anniversary not just this one but all of them, you are a smuck!!!!

Yes, I have friends that get their parents very creative gifts for anniversaries. My one friend gets her photo professional taken each year and framed for her parents (I personally love that idea). I have another friend that recently had a picture that she drew framed and she gave it to them. Parents love gifts that reflects their children.

Depends upon how YOUR family does things.

In my family we do buy anniversary gifts. I have many friends that do not. It is personal choice and varies from family to family, culture to culture.

yes. they are your parents, they gave you life, and they stayed together for all these years..while most couples break up ..get divorced..it's happening all over. anyway, i think it would be a nice gesture to say thanks. :)

and like one girl said, especially because it is their 25th, i mean 25 is huge where i live!

my cousins threw a surprise party for my aunt and uncle on their 25th wedding anniversary, and just recently for my other aunt & uncle. :)

hope i helped.
