since your hair is naturally wavy..this should be easy.
Use a curl enhancing shampoo when you shower..
I recommend wash-n-curl.
then buy a curl scrunching spray...
I recommend aussie sprunch spray or panteen curl enhancer.
then when you get out of the shower..towel scrunch your hair..finger comb it..and then blow dry while scrunching until damp. then once it's damp use your sprunching spray and scrunch..then finish blow drying [keep scrunching though]!!
good luck and I hope I helped!!

First put on a straightening balm, then blow dry your hair straight. Once you do that, select pieces of hair and wrap them around a roller or a hot roller, lightly spray. This will create soft curls.

I use a curling iron and instead of making it tight I wrap it around the iron loosely, or if it comes out too tight I comb it out w/ my nails and that loosen it up as well

my hair is almost the same, what is do is wash it, and use some medium sized curlers, apply a small amount of gel to clumps of hair and roll.. thinner or thicker is up to you.. for loose curls thicker is better i think. i sleep with it overnight. in the morning undo the curlers, then use some hairspray, keeps it much longer!!

i saw some hairdresser on tv and he separated this girl's hair into sections and then with a large curling iron he curled 1inch-2inch chunks of her hair and then he pinned up each tendril in little "rolled buns" and let them set using a hairdryer (on cold), he finished with some hair spray

Curling iron. Or wrap individual curls, pinned up.

The hairdresser would be more likely to give you an accurate opinion so try that and see what happens.
