There is a product that has been on the market for years called "Red Cross Toothache Medicine" its a small box with some medication, cotton ball pellets and small pair of tweezers you soak the cotton pellets in the medicine and place it on your tooth or if your tooth has a hole in it, you can actually put the pellet inside the whole to numb it and keep it from getting too much air on the nerves which cause even more pain.

Toothaches are NO JOKE and I am speaking from experience, so I really hope that you can find this medicine at your local drug store and that you get relief soon!!

All the best to you!

There probably isnt a cure ,except a temporary one.

The cause of your tooth aching is probably a cavity or an absess.in either case you need to see a dentist,it will not go away on its own.

For now you could let an aspirin melt on it.

Would not use oil of cloves to often as they tend to burn and inflame the area around the tooth!
Try taking Nurofen, as well as a pain relief it will also act as an anti-inflammatory and reduce any swelling around the gum, but the best advice is get yourself down to the dentist ASAP

Have to agree with the others a dentist. But in the mean time use bongela around the gum to numb it and put a heat pad or hot water bottle on your face where it hurts and a couple of painkillers wont do any harm.

I push against that aching tooth- that usually stops it for a few seconds, eventually making it numb
or use freezing cold water- or ice inside your mouth of course

You HAVE to go to a dentist. I had toothache for weeks and weeks and dosed myself with ibuprofen but it just got worse, eventually I caved in and went to the dentist (by this time I was crying from the pain) and it was an abcess in the root that had got really infected and I had to have a root canal treatment. Best go to the dentist as soon as poss. I would say.

In the absence of an immediate dentist, anti-inflammatories like Ibuprofen work well. They reduce the inflammation which is the thing that presses on a nerve which is what causes the toothache sensation.
