Hey - my real name isn't Grace but I chose it as a pseudonym because every time I sign off it makes me think about what I've written and whether it reflects true grace.
Grace is such a cool concept... I'm with Bonno in his song about it - do check out the U2 song lyrics "Grace" on line if you're not familiar with it.
But for me it sums up so much about what I love about Jesus - his hope for me when I don't think there's much that can be done about the gunk that's in my life, his making everything better when I feel like I should get myself sorted before I could come into the presence of the pure, holy, true God - he seems to say "don't worry - I'll sort it out" - it's the fact that everything that I wish wasn't in me (all the times I wish I was more kind, more true to who I am, more light) he's said it's ok and given me certainty that that's how he sees me and that one day I will be nothing but beauty and truth and light - and it's because he's taken my gunk. Some second century theologians talked about Christ as the Divine leach. Kind of gross but in some ways I love it - they thought that leaches sucked out all the poison from wounds into themselves and that's what they thought Jesus is.
And my great hope - because he will not disappoint
Grace is a person - Jesus
Sorry this turned into a bit of a rant - but I guess you're wanting to know the real me answer
Grace x

The Biblical use of "Grace" in the New Testament is "Favor". We have Americanized it to something other than the original intent of the word.
To be saved by "grace" then becomes; To be saved by "favor". And we should live under this knowledge that through Jesus, God has given us "favor" and not because we earned it. This is akin to "chosen" or "acceptable".

As a Mormon, "grace" is the fact that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of all mankind that we might be forgiven and saved in His glory. At the end of the day, you and I are nothing but big sinners. Without Christ, there is no salvation, no mercy, no nothing.

Umerited favor is the easy answer. But to know what it really means, it is favor that we do not deserve. In Christianity, we depend on God to fulfill his promise to us that if we trust in him through Jesus Christ, he will apply his promise hat any who should trust in him will have etenal life. It's not something that we can earn or deserve, it is a category that he places us in. The Saved. The recievers of salvation through Grace.

I don't know if I can explain it very well but it means to me a sense of peacefulness and being polite and acting like a gentleman or lady. I don't know if that makes sense to you or not.

A prayer of thanksgiving.
Come Lord Jesus be our guest
Let thy gifts to us be blessed
And may our souls by thee be fed
Ever on the living bread. Amen.
