Actually, I know I am. Is it because Im afraid of commitment? Probably not, but I think it's because we were never compatible in the first place. Man, do we fight constantly? And in the last couple days, I haven't done anything wrong and we seem to be getting along great, but I just don't have the feelings for her as I once did and I know sometime soon I'm just gonna let it all out and break up with her, but how to do it is the question. Today she talked about all the things we could on Valentines Day and wow, I just couldn't stomach it...probably because I'd rather be alone on that day. I want to mention I'm a busy person to; i work full time, always working on my music in bands and other projects, and I think having a girlfriend is just making things worse for me, but she is such a great person, very sweet, and believe me, I dont want to hurt her even though i will have to. I dont wanna be the bad guy here, any suggestions guys? Please help me.

I'm not a guy, but do her a favor and break up now, why are you stringing her along? There's nothing wrong with losing feelings for someone, but not telling her just isn't right!

Look, as a woman who has gone through a "bad" break-up or 2 the best advice I can offer is BE HONEST! Tell her that with all of your other commitments (ie; your music, the band) and because of all of the arguing and disagreements between you both lately that a separation is the only resolution at this time. Do NOT tell her "we can still be friends" unless you really mean it! Remember friends call each other all the time, they go out to the movies and dinner, etc....kinda like having a girlfriend. And maybe in some time and with some distance you will see that you do really care for her or maybe you will simply affirm those feeling that you already have. Just be HONEST! In doing so, you will not be viewed as the "bad guy" (at least not forever..lol) and you will have absolutely nothing to feel badly about yourself. You have to be true to yourself! Best wishes.....

Well ... if there's no more love or feeling towards her ... then you two shouldn't be together. I think you two should sit down together and talk things through ... be honest but don't be cruel. Trust me, we women appreciate more if you are man enough to break up in a very civilized way.
Some men are just such a coward that once the relationship doesn't seem to work anymore, they just turn into such a jerk and a**hole ... then they either cheat or just vanish and disappear ... either ways are a big NO-NO for us.

endind it is the best idea in this case...having a relationship with this girl without the feelings being there is worse then not having one at least then she'll be able to move on and find someone who will care about her...not that you don't but you know what i mean. Break up with her as nicely as possible unless you guys get into a fight then do it then..her anger will lessen the impact of the breakup.

Well you have to tell her face to face how you feel and you have to do it soon in my opinion. The longer you wait the more hurt she will be. You should tell her gently how you feel and do your best to let her know that this isn't her fault. Some ppl just aren't meant to be and if you know you and her are not a good match then you need to move one and so does she. Maybe this honesty will even allow you two to become friends one day. It's not right to let her go on thinking that things are great when your feelings have faded. Be fair, and break up honestly. Don't use the "It's not you, it's me" garbage, because if it wasn't her, you'd still have feelings for her. Yes, it will hurt, and that bothers you because you're a nice guy. But she deserves truth.

Well hunni, if you don't love her it's not fair to her or to you for you to stay when you're not happy....if she really cares about you she'll just be glad that you were honest with her....if not.....just tell her that you're not happy and you didn't think that she could be happy with someone that couldn't care about her like she needs (even if you don't feel that way...it makes you seem selfless and like you only care about her well being) I hope this helps and I hope everything works out because you seem like a sweetheart...good luck!

There IS no right time. The sooner, the better.
You don't wanna keep leading her on, do you? I thought not.

well if you fight alot thats one thing but i think you should discuss it with her first and see what she thinks if you think things are still not going well break up with her and not with a telogram on Valintine Day!!!!!
