My faith means a lot to me and I truly believe it is true. There are so many religions out there though so how can you choose? Think of it this way - numerous counterfeit coins and notes are in circulation throughout the world, these need to be removed, but how? Would it be a wise course for bank tellers to be told to closely analyse every fake so that the real ones would stand out? Or would it be better to study the true money. If you knew what a real note looked like you would not be easily fooled by a forgery! Likewise, it is not necessary to study every religion to be sure of the truth. The Bible tells us exactly how to recognise the true religion and once we understand what God requires other religions that do not match up stick out like a sore thumb.
I truly believe I have found the true religion otherwise I would be no part of it.
I hope this helps.

'Follow', that is totally appropriate for a religious person. You have no original thoughts of your own so you need other people to do your thinking for you. Look at all these religious nut-jobs vying for your soul, all wanting you to 'follow' the particular fairy tale that they have been snagged by. Why don't you read and read and read, about nature, philosophy, science, History, various religions, and then use your own brain to work out what is right instead of having some half baked nut-job telling you to worship his super imaginary friend the way he thinks you should. It is truly shocking to see people this gullible and ignorant of human knowledge in the 21st century!
You have a choice. Use your brain or be a follower.

The right religion for you (if you choose to follow one at all) is the religion that suits your personality and needs, and fulfills you intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. In my opinion as a Wiccan, all religions are paths to the Divine, and atheism and agnosticism are also perfectly valid choices.
Try http://www.religioustolerance.org for articles on a wide variety of religions. It's an excellent resource.
Best of luck to you on your path.

There are a lot of people out there like you. I would say that you have already started on the journey by questioning and canont really go back to being blindly faithful. I would also say now is a perfect time to sample others beliefs and religions (including athiesm). It will not MAKE you a religion just to find out about it.Have fun.

The problem for you is FALSE religion. Ongoing study of the holy books is essential. Violence is no part of any religion. If all followers of any religion accepted the original writings at face value it would be OK. Personally I find repititous ritual in any form a complete waste of time.

I am similiar to you in the fact that I was Christened and confirmed as a child and grew up believing in a certain religion. However, as I grew and learned about other religions, I found that I liked and believed in different aspects of all of them. You do not have to conform to only ONE religion, but you can be Spirtual and believe in and have faith in different aspects of each religion. As long as you have faith in something, you will find what you truly believe. The sites below will give you more information about these ideas:) GOOD LUCK!

Find a faith that follows the Bible...
Jesus said: “By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.” (John 13:35) Such love reaches across racial, social, and national boundaries, drawing people together in genuine brotherhood. So strong is this love that it sets them apart as being truly different. When the nations go to war, who have enough love for their Christian brothers in other lands that they refuse to take up arms and kill them? That is what early Christians did.
Jesus said that his true followers would be “no part of the world.” (John 15:19) To worship God in a manner that he approves requires that we keep ourselves “without spot from the world.” (Jas. 1:27) Can that be said of those whose clergy and other members are involved in politics, or whose lives are largely built around materialistic and fleshly desires?—1Â John 2:15-17.

Catholicism. if you insist on not following this path then I would say Eastern Orthodoxy or Anglicanism. Worst case scenario protestantism; Lutheranism best in this category.
In the end it is your choice, but personally I advise you to do real research into Islam if you decide to take that path, so you may understand the truth behind what may false lure you there.
God bless you.

Why don't you go with what religion you were christened you may like it and if not at least it will give you an insight of where to go and what religion you do wish to have. I'm a catholic although I rarely go, sadly to say weddings and funerals. Good luck with whatever you choose. Being a good person is most important.
