To add to your pondering, if someone who appears to be fully female, but has XY genes (yes, this is possible and it happens) and doesn't know it hooks up with a man, are they gay...or not...or what?
Sexual attraction and even gender are far more complex than our simplistic categories of gay, straight, etc.

Don't human hermaphrodites carry a Y chromosome? The genetics for male genetalia has to come from somewhere. If there's a Y chromosome you're male. Period. There's a silly phrase "pseudohermaphrodite" used by doctors, I assume it describes a hermaphrodite where only one sex is fully developed as another answer mentioned. Since the human cannot function with just X chromosomes or just Y chromosomes it needs both. XXY, for instance, results in genetic chimaerism often referred to as Kleinfelter's, and can produce what we recognize as hermaphrodites. The Y chromosome is there, though. Genetically male. Sure, the extra X chromosome giving you female features and even a vagina might make things very difficult and confusing, but you're genetically male and you can't change that.

Well, most hermaphrodites have one dominate sex the other is only vestigial so they would opt for the partner that matches their sexual orientation. A rare few hermaphrodites have both sets of functioning sexual organ and even they would go by what ever their orientation was.
Most mainstream religions have rather screwed up ideas about sexuality which they tend to impart onto their followers. This is what happens when you base your doctrine on ones knowledge of the world of ancient times and don't update it when more accurate information becomes available.

You mean like a Komodo Dragon,
Chester Zoo is celebrating the 'virgin birth' of five Komodo dragons after the hatching of a clutch of eggs laid by a female who has never mated with a male.
Paternity tests have proved that five young born to a female called Flora were conceived by parthenogenesis, a form of asexual reproduction that is known to take place in lizards, but has only recently been documented in this species.

I have known several 'hermaphrodites' and most of them chose the 'partner' who was the opposite sex of the one they 'felt' to be the 'strongest' in them. Most are 'changed at birth' by doctors, though, and those doctors often 'choose' to make the child 'female' because it's simply 'easier surgery' to do ... and those children 'identify' themselves as male. Some then become 'lesbians' and other 'change gender' to male ... and I knew one who actually chose 'sheep' for his/her partner, because people 'laughed at' him/her and sheep didn't ever laugh. And I'm sorry, but I am talking about 'real relationships,' here, and not 'just having sex.'

well it depends on their state of mind if it's a man who has the two parts and he thinks like a straight man then he will choose a female and if it's a female with the two sex organs and she's a straight female then she will choose a male as here partner while some migh go both ways it just depends on the state of minds of the individuals and on their sexual preferences as well

What little I know about this subject is the condition is rare and in most cases the person has dominant male or female traits.
Just curious, what brought this question to your mind other than pornographic exposure.

Considering their gender is intersexed, I guess they could pick male or female partners without worry. Just need to avoid other intersexed people to avoid sex with their own gender.
