Irish Gaelic has Dun do gob ("Shut your mouth" - pronounced don-duh-gubb). Gob means "mouth" in both Irish and Scottish Gaelic. The English words gab (to talk a lot) and gabby (talkative) were probably borrowed from an ancient Celtic language spoken in England that was related to Gaelic.
