When I look at a woman as a perspective companion, I try to look beyond the outer package, tho males are visual creatures by nature, Physical attraction is in deed important, however I am a believer in chemistry and that's only something that the two ppl can determine if its there or not.
Being a divorcee who has raised his kids, I am looking for a woman who shares similar interests but also has some of her own. A woman who is capable of taking care of herself and who takes pride in her appearance but is not vain, a true beauty who doesn't know it.
She should know how to act in any situation and be compassionate of others
She should have a passionate side and know when it is appropriate to show it.
She must be able to communicate.
They say Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, we ( men ) all find different physical attributes attractive, I prefer long hair and a height to weight proportionate body and bedroom eyes attractive, like to see a woman in a nice fitting pr of jeans and cowboy boots.... But that's just me..... is that you ?

Every person looks for the things in a mate that attract them individually. A guy who is outgoing and a party animal will look for someone with similar qualities. A guy who is introverted and bookish will look for a smart, quiet girl to compliment his personality. The same is true of girls. However, to make matters complicated, as humans we are initially attracted to our opposites. Those relationships usually don't last as there is nothing to build upon.

depends on the guy, but most look for

example:

Hi my name generic dude and I"m looking for a cute girl that has confidence in herself, doesn't have to be a model, but should know that if she's with me, I'm diggin' her! She must know how to take a joke and be able to have fun w/o getting too uptight if I actually want to spend and evening with my friends and she's not invited. NO CATTY chicks, debbie downers, or negative attention seekers need apply. If you already have a subscription to Bride magazine or have your wedding planned, please note that I am not proposing marriage, I want to go with the flow and see what happens . . .p.s. no dog kickers or drama queens please!

you should ask yourself what you look for in a guy. you want to date a guy that you like, not a guy that likes you but you have no feelings for.
