May be only I dont know. My friend in DWP told me that immigrants can on benefit as soon as they arrive UK. But USA: 7 years; Aussie: 3 years; NZ: 3 years. It goes without saying that these "poor" immigrants are NOT poor at all, otherwise how can they go to UK. Cheating, cheating, cheating. I really think our govt is simply too generous and of course stupid and waste my hard earn tax. What do you think?

Over generous is an understatement, we are know as a soft touch in the rest of the world. Why we should be given everything for nothing is beyond believe, as you say any other country you emigrate to, you cant claim for some time, so why don't we follow that trend ?

The UK has created a cooridor for benefit suckling immigrants. Thank God there's a vast ocean between the US and the rest of the world.

The muslim explosion and it's arms of extremism that's prevelant and overlooked in your country has a good chance of ruining your once great country. I hope you Brits wake up and smell the coffee before it's W A Y T O O L A T E

It's a funny old world. Anybody from where ever in the world can come here and get whatever medical aid they need no questions asked, yet on last nights TV expats in Spain below pensionable age cannot get med aid in Spain or the UK, they have to pay for it. Is it any wonder the indigenous population are sick up to their teeth with migrants.
No one to date to my knowledge has been brave enough to ask just how many of these uneconomic benefiting migrants are actually on the benefits that most Brits have paid for all their working lives.

Really where do some of you people get your information from
new cars, wardrobes full of new cloths,if any of you went to uni
you know the result you would get for posting answers like that.
Research here is the key....As for your friend at the DWP if they really worked there they would know that was not true..
As with every thing there are those who are genuine and those who are not. Asylum is no different but try not to stereotype everyone

Its the asylum system that's being abused.I believe it was set up shortly after the Second World War,and as remained unchanged ever since. This needs urgent attention but unfortunately the political will is not there, and any good will we had has being lost in Iraq.

I agree. Where is the incentive to work. Thay may as well come right out and say: If you don;t want to work, we'll give you a free house and money plus a free healthcare system. Someone else will pay for all this for you.

I agree with everything you say it's a mess that's why so many come here only if you live here and need to go on benefit then it is not that easy even if you have worked most of your life. Well said.
