This question depends on how deep the cut is and if you are preventing the clotting of the blood. That's why suicide victims (who slit their wrists) are frequently found in baths. Horizontal cuts (across the wrist) are not as effective and are less deadly than deep cuts made DOWN the wrist. People who commit parasuicide (cut their wrists but don't actually want to die or cut their wrists for attention and survive) are more likely to do so horizontally. This doesn't mean that they don't actually die. They can underestimate how deep they went and die accidentally.

it depends since i don't want to assist you or ANYONE else in committing suicide I'm not going to give my medical knowledge on how long i will say tho it depends on which vein you cut or if u cut an artery. I will tell you this tho, it takes long enough that most people survive with severe brain damage to the point where they cant do anything by themselves anymore, they have to be in constant care and use diapers.. id rather live and try to get through the difficult times then be THAT way for the rest of my life. Believe me, ive met those poor souls and you really DON'T want to do that.

Depends on how you cut it....wait why am I answering this....I hope you are not contemplating suicide....if you are you need to speak to someone fast! Anyone, just don't be alone with the thoughts in your head.

Most people who do that do not die from the wounds.
