Correct spelling is "anch'io" and it means " me too", "me also","also I".

Anchio is wrong, is not Italian...!!! It must be written "anch'io".

The word is originated by the 2 words "anche" and " io" .
By following the grammatical rule of Italian language when there is a meeting of 2 wowels we can have a contraction and the first wowel is replaced by the apostrophe.

Anchio is the elision between the word "anche" meaning, also and "io" meaning I. You put the two words together because anchio ends with a vowel and io begins with one and it is awkward phonetically. It means "me too"

It means 'me too' - a contraction of 'anche io' = also I.

E.g. Vado a Roma.
Anchio.
I'm going to Rome.
So am I (=me too)
