My son has two social security numbers. I need to find out if I can run a report on both of them to make sure there is no fraud. Can this be done in the state of California legally?

we live in AZ and we signed up for Lifelock. They run mine, my husband, and our 3 year old son's credit every month. It always comes back with no credit report to run for our son.

How does your son have 2 ssn?

I have heard of people using children's SSN to commit fraud before. I would get the 2 numbers situation straightened out with the SSA and then keep an eye on the good number for sure. You should be keeping an eye on yours anyway.

He needs only one SSN. Yes, you can run your child's credit report to make sure no one has been using the SSN.
