sounds like a bad migraine,
as the symptoms are the same as i get ,and i get them bad have to have curtains drawn,
go to the doctors and they will give you some tablets to take when you feel the symptoms come again,
nothing worse than a migraine.

It sounds to me like to you had a severe migraine Although I'm not a doctor I have suffered with bad migraines for years . The pain can be so intense that even putting one foot on the ground to walk makes my head hurt worse . Feeling sick comes with it , as can shaking and eye ache . Sometimes I have migraines where the whole of one side of my face hurts and the only way to stop the eye ache is to wear a patch to block out the light altogether . To be honest the only way they go sometimes is with time and nothing else . Its awful . You should see your doctor and just make sure you're alright . Good luck x

It sounds like a migraine, they usually occur when you are under stress, you can get over the counter medicine. I had a similar one a couple of weeks ago and i hadn't had one before. My sympathy goes out to those people that have them regularly. I cried for my mom and i'm 36 i really thought my head was going to explode!

It sounds like a migraine. I used to get chronic migraines and it made me incapacitated. They suck, but there is really nothing you can do about them except sleep them off. I was never told that they are harmful either. Hope this helps.

If you are not prone to this sort of attack and there was no apparent reason (too much booze or stress due to exams, for example) it is possible that it could be an initial bout of migraine. Did you have any other symptoms, like rashes or fever? It will not do any harm for you to see your doctor, if for no other reason than to reassure you.

Hello Dead,

DOOOOOOO contact your NHS direct (if you're British) don't just leave it again especially if you haven't had these sorts of headaches before. Contact your GP tomorrow and make an appointment and PLEASE get checked out. Probs nothing but you need to get checked just to make sure.

potential severe sinus infection or just a migraine. Either one can be debilitating and put you down for a day or so.
