because it's an upper classmen thing. it's something that freshman and sophmores should be looking forward to.

at my school, freshman and sophmores are allowed to come to prom if they're asked by a junior or senior.

it has a certain level of sophistication, unlike any regular school dance, so the age and maturity comes along with it. when you become a junior, you'll understand.

fairly, no longer something is as enormous of a deal because it form of feels to be in intense college. a million. The promenade is going to be attended via many appropriate females in many appropriate attire. you're basically going to be yet another surprisingly woman interior the team of surprisingly females. You´re unlikely to "upstage" anybody. 2. many human beings flow to the promenade without date. except you have approximately 10 human beings in each and each classification, no person is going to additionally be conscious/care which you don´t have a date. 3. So what if the upperclassmen get mad? 0.5 of them will graduate quickly and the different 0.5 will forget approximately over the summer season.

some smaller schools do. its just because a lot of people go so its to keep it less crowded and also something to look forward to. see if your school will have a morp (backwards prom) that could be a crazy theme and maybe everyone could be invited to that.
