Oh my goodness. YES!!! It is worth every penny. It is my all time favorite place to have a special dinner with my husband. That is where we celebrated our 25th anniversary last year. It costs between $60 and $80 to feed two there but you get appetizers, salad, main course and dessert for that.
The appetizer is a cheese fondue that you dip bread, fruit and veggies in. The salad is whatever you choose. I love the strawberry salad. The main course it you meats and sea food and veggies cooked in a broth. and the dessert is cakes, fruit, and cheese cake dipped in a chocolate based fondue. You get to choose each of the dips and fondues that are used and they will each be explained to you in great detail. Just tell the server that it is your first trip there. A meal takes about 2 to 3 hours and is very relaxing and enjoyable.
By the way, I have been there several times and I have never had a bad meal. Listen to the server and pick what you feel you will like and I know you will love it.

It is good. I used to work there, and I'd go there to eat, so that's how you know it's clean! It is expensive if you do the whole Big Night Out, but there are ways to pay less-don't drink, as the markup on wine is a lot, or call ahead and ask if you can bring your own bottle and if there is a corkage fee. The whole experience makes it worth it...your server will prepare a cheese for you at the table, you will cook your own meats and veggies in the fondue pot and get to dress them up with all different sauces, and then there are 12 different chocolates to choose from! Get the special one, with the hazlenut cream-it tastes just like a Ferrero Rocher chocolate...I also really like the ceasar salad that is the special now-it has awesome pine nuts on it. For your entree, if you have the money, get the surf and turf (lobster tail and sirloin). If not, go for some of the signature entrees-it's a good portion size and you get all the veggies you can eat. If you don't mind spending about $100 for a couple, go for the big night out...it's all four courses, a 10% discount on any bottle of wine, and a ton of food! You can take home whatever you don't eat as long as it's cooked, so none of the food goes to waste.
As I said, I worked at one for a year, and the place I was at was really clean, and I know that all Melting Pots, since they have all raw meats in the kitchen, are held to very strict sanitation standards. Have fun!

Hi there!
The Melting Pot is one of my husband and I's favorite restaurants! It is a little pricey----for an appetizer (cheese fondue) salad, dinner (fondue cooking broth with the raw meats) and the dessert (chocolate fondue) and 2 glasses of wine, the bill with tax and tip is usually around $130.00. It's so worth it though! You can go to their website www.meltingpot.com and find out more about their menu. My husband and I get the "Entree's for 2" selection which comes with the appetizer fondue, salad and main course fondue for one price (around $65.00 for 2 people) and then we buy a dessert fondue (for about $15.00). Make sure if you do decide to go that you call ahead to make reservations a few days to a week beforehand, and allow 2-3 hours for dinner. It takes a while to eat all of the fondue! lol. Hope this helps, and enjoy! You won't be disappointed :)

I've been there a couple times and Iove it, It is a little on the expensive side but it's worth it in my opinion.
For a great romantic meal as well as for a group of friends just having fun is perfect.
*** good is everything the best 4 cheese fondue * white chocolate & amaretto dessert fondue & for the entree get the mix veggies, fish, shrimp & beef with the mojo style boullion and or the batter & canola oil pot to fry in it.
*** One thing for sure is you'll have lots of fun

Yeah. It's pretty good.
It's exactly what they say, a melting pot of a variety of dishes.
I ate there twice. And I wouldn't mind going again.
Check out the link in source.
Hope this helped!

My husband and I went least September with a few friends. It took almost three hours to finish all the courses and cost the two of us over $100.00. The food was very good. But for 50 bucks each some else should have cooked it. (ha ha). If you can afford to spend the money, give it a try.

It's a fondue place you know. You cook your own food at the table. The lights are low and it takes a long time before you eat. If you are on a time schedule I wouldnt recommend it but for a romantic tonight of cooking with lots of time....go for it.
