a dr. felt my throat after she asked me to swallow and said i had an underactive thyroid...what is it? is it dangerous?

well thas not cnfirmitive unless u do thyroid function tests and t3 and t4 r low and tsh will be high.its amjor problem ,do u sleep a lot,have low pulse rate ,overweight and always feel cold and sluggish,if so its easily treated on tablet of thyroxined daily and u r done dont worry

Yes, I have it too. Lots of people do. No, it's not dangerous if you take meds to treat it.
