I have read many times where a woman wants a man to open up to her and tell his feelings. So last week I decided to open up and tell my gf things about how I felt about our relationship. The reaction I got was totally off the wall from what I expected. She freaked on me and acted opposite what I have read about women. She hasnt spoken to me in days now. Why?

Not all women are the same, so you don't know for sure if she will like if you do something! She might not have liked what you told her. What did you tell her that made her freak out?

Depending on what and how much you told her, I could see why she would freak. Especially if you've never opened up quite like that before. I think it's always important in a relationship to keep communication open and make it a 'safe' environment so that you both feel you can share feelings without the other getting offended or hurt. Otherwise things will fester and all come out eventually in an ugly manner. It might not always be what you want to hear, but once you gain perspective, you may find a way to work out the solution.

What you read and what you experience in real life are 2 totally different things. It might have been how you said it and the environment around you.
