If you're talking about your hair, I've heard running cold water on your hair after washing it and when you blow dry it blow cold air right before it gets really dry.

I agree with the above answers about real cold water after washing and conditioning it. I have long hair and have been cold rinsing it for years and it always looks so nice and shiny. Two more things, first, don't fry your hair when drying it, don't put the dryer too near your hair on high heat and don't over dry it. That drys it out and takes the shine with it. Second I use a product called SUPER SKINNY Serum, by Paul Mitchell. I got it from a hair salon and with just a little bit of it put in your wet hair, well it seems to help with the dry, fly-aways. But I'd first recommend the cold water rinse, you'd be surprised at how well that will work. Good luck.

It's an uncomfortable but 100% sure fire way to keep your hair shiny - rinse with ice cold water after you wash your hair ! It'll be shiny in no time, at no extra cost. :)
