I like how you have all these people here on R & S who probably haven't sat in a science class since highschool presume they have a better understanding of physics principles than someone with a PhD in physics. Mostly refering to RangerWright. The first Law of thermo says ENERGY cannot be created or destroted, not mass. I'm tired of correcting people.

Well, neither one. We will never be able to figure out the big bang because it didn't happen. We will never be able to figure out whether God has eternally existed either, because that is just something we can never know, at least according to science, mathematics and the western world.
The irony though is that Athiests' views are based purely on a humanistic worldview, believing that man can eventually possess all the knowledge of the universe. They deny God essentially because they cannot believe He could have always existed, because that doesn't make sense to our human minds. So, in the same way, Christians are put down because they don't maintain that in order to possess knowledge one would have to be completely in line with Western thought.

Your money is on the Big bang - scientist calculated that the Big bang Theory could come true 1 in 2 billion chances (this was before they discovered DNA) - so you go ahead and place your bet - if you were in a casino - you wouldn't bet those odds!

God said let it be.
Choice your side and enjoy the rewards of your choice friends
In the First Law of Thermodynamics: Energy cannot be created or destroyed. In the beginning to the Big Bang, there is nothing (zero matter) present to explode, and zero energy to explode it. There are zero observations, or documented test results for spontaneous generation, let alone matter from nothing.
Expecting to have matter, and energy just show up, when none is present is like taking an absolutely empty box, and after billions of years, or any other amount of time, expect to open that box, and inside have a operational world in all its complexity. Spontaneous generation something out of nothing, used to support the Big Bang is in direct conflict with the first scientific Law of Thermodynamics.

the big bang makes no sense, "all of a sudden the universe was about as big as a period on a page and there was some matter that exploded abd made planets and it is still exploding for infinity." yea i would believe in God any day over that!

Discovery of the truth about this may depend upon how long a person has to live. It may come during a person's lifetime or it may not.
One thing for sure, we will all know eventually after death.

this is why God has "always been there":
This is asked alot so let me explain. I believe God created our "space-time" universe. Since God is not subject to his creation, God didn't require a "beginning" unlike his creation (God exists outside of time), God is also infinite (outside of space). The universe can't be started w/out the time dimension, therefore, I believe that God was the first "cause". God's unconditional reality is "circular" meaning that there is no beginning or end.
Think about is this way, A computer programmer is not subject to the functions of his program, but is still involved with it , just like god is involved with us.

We already know where God came from..
The Big Bang is still un-proven and being studied...
So I guess we discovered where God came from first...

Neither will be discovered because it is all just speculation, no factual truth to any of it, so who really gets the last laugh here.

God has existed from eternity. He is self-existent and self-sufficient. He needs nothing. He caused the Big bang. So if I were you, I'd hedge my bet.
