its always, "atheists can you prove there is no god?"

Isnt it common sense that the burden of proof lays on the person who makes the claim of something existing, not on the one who denies the existance of it?

anyone else getting sick of seeing this question?

I am as tired of that one as I am of the one asking me to prove that there is a God. He cannot be proven to a heart and mind not looking to find Him. You can close your mind to anything. You can believe one proof over another. You can ignore evidence, and say it is not intellegent design, that it is the greatness of evolution. You can say that you never argued those evolutionary points that have been proven false, and show us new ones and say that is your proof, you can dismiss miracles as luck or faulty testing, or nature. But we are just as tired of that as you are of us quoting a book you don't believe.

Both sides wish they had proof. Most Christians wish we had easier answers. I wish I could prove it to you in a way that would open your heart and mind. I hope and pray for that wisdom. But here is the thing, the only thing that would convince a true atheist that God is real, is to see Him. (And even then some will probably wish they were blind just so they could say He wasn't real) The hard truth is though that by then it will be too late. Sorry.

For one, man proved that water is evaporated and is drawn into the sky and falls back down to earth in the form of dew and rain after the 1400's. God states this fact in the book of Ecclesiastes, over 2000 years prior. I can give more facts that allows science to prove there is a God if you would like. God Bless all of you. I was not asking anyone to change their opinion, I was just curious.

I am sick of seeing religious debates on Yahoo answers in general, Not that people don't have rights to their opinion, but there are many shades of grey when it comes to these matters and questions that generalize people of various religions or those who do not participate in religion really devalue this entire forum. It's truly disappointing because I think sometimes our generation is above that sort of thing, more intellectual and sensitive but then I see that crap and realize that I'm wrong.

Belief in God is called a Faith. Because of that on one needs to proof to believe. This is a personal thing. So it is up to you to answer it no matter how it is the question is asked.

Yes, legally, the burden of proof is on the plaintiff. They pray for relief from non-believers to include the eternal damnation of said non-believers. They have in essence filed a frivolous lawsuit.

I think Gazoo's got the right idea.
After all, people like Lion of Judah do that copy-paste deal with certain buzzwords.

I'm sick of seeing these as well:
-"Why are atheists in the religion & spirituality section?"
-"If we evolved from monkeys, why are there still monkeys?"
-"[Insert Pascal's Wager thinly veiled as a Fox News-esque insult]"
-"[Re-hashing of Watchmaker Argument]"
-"Do you believe in GOD?"
-anything having word "evolutionists" in it
-"Prayer request?"
-"What are atheists so afraid of?"

Et cetera, et cetera.

It could be because someone realizes that proving something exists and proving something does not exist are tasks of equal challenge.

The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

No, no longer possibly. very almost all the questions are continuously being repeated. the situation right here is that in spite of the undeniable fact that the burden of knowledge might lay on the theist, their are arguments for God that the atheist might desire to counter, or coach untrue, otherwise might desire to place as much as the very sensible threat of God. So the communicate seems to have no clean answer from particular factors of view, subsequently that's continually being asked, yet in categories. So, no i do no longer become uninterested in it.

The burden of proof is not the issue when speaking of God. I will pray that you can come to know Jesus Christ and see that he is the only way to salvation. I am sorry that life has hardened your heart to the lord.
