"cantidad" means "quantity", or the ammount of something.

Yo tengo un gran cantidad de maiz. I have a great quanity of corn.

Stupid example, but it makes the point. Haha :-)

its Cantidad.. it means amount.. quantity (kantidad with K doesn`t exist)

cantidad = quantity, amount

amount of money = cantidad de dinero
