.Yes there is good in sausages. You must not eat them too often because of the amount of saturated fat. A good idea is too boil them first on med heat to get some of the fat out. You can then fry them in olive oil. Sausages give you a source protein that gives you energy. Try to purchase brand name leaner ones. There is no such thing as a lean sausage.

FLAVOR ... 'sausage' was invented in the 'old days' when people NEEDED far more calories every day, and far more 'fat' than we do now, simply because they had to physically 'work harder at everything' than we must do now. Sausage is both extremely salty and 'smoked' because they didn't have good refrigeration 'back then' and had no way to 'freeze' food. Now, we know that sausage isn't GOOD FOR US, but we still like and even 'love' the way it tastes, so if you like sausage then go ahead and have some ... just don't eat 'too much' of it in place of the 'good things' we have to eat now, too ...

Yes.

1. Sausages have proteins. These proteins contain important amino acids necessary for muscle, brain, and overall body function.
2. Contain spices like curry, cayenne, cloves, and sage. All of these aid in digestion.
3. Sausages prepared with leaner meats like turkey and chicken, lean cuts of beef, and lean cuts of pork, can fill you up quicker. And make it where you actually eat less. One big grilled sausage might be 250 calories or 350. But if that is all you eat for breakfast, that is way better than 2 donuts (500 calories to 600 cals), a bagel (500-700calories), or fastfood breakfast meals (800 cals to 1100).

I hope this helps.

I just did my shopping @ Trader Joes and I bought some chicken & maple sausages - they are yummy! Don't like pork!
