a restaurant that just serves fries i personally wouldnt because im not a big fry eater> But on the other hand if your trying to get feed back for opening a restarant that serves fries, good idea. keep it small to begin with, or get a fry cart going so you can move it to events or just set up on the side of the road. depending on what your laws are where you live. French fry stand restaurant i think would go over well. If you had potatoes skins i would definatly be there love those. where i live we have this permanment little building add on cart thing that has set up on a busy road believe it or not its on private property next to a retail raw seafood place, the stretch of road is about 2 miles long between one town and the other town its residential and water front all the way. the place also serves hamburgers i tell you this thing is constantly busy make good food and people will come

There was a place like that in Santa Monica, Ca a few years back called Benita's Fritias it was really popular in the summer but faltered in cold weather due to lack of foot traffic and ultimately closed after 3 years - the new shop is a traditional Greek Restaurant they just sunk the counter back to accommodate a few tables and they do really well. The main thing to consider is the traffic - if you are going to serve only 1 thing, regardless of shape or add ons, make sure you have the traffic to support it like a mall or near a high school - that way the traffic is there to sustain repeat business. Good Luck!

Yes I would. You should also have other selections too but I could see the fry being the working theme. Maybe make foods using fries like some kind of french fry casserole lol. If they have successful cereal restaurants I'm sure a fry one would work. Just stop telling everybody though before someone copies.

home fries, curly fries, seasoned fries. Home fries rock, especially with grilled onions mixed in. They're the best because you're actually looking at potatoes which have been grilled. Curly fries are good for a change-of-pace, and seasoned fries are great when you're in the mood for them. Potato tots (puffs) are a good alternative to french fries, as are steak fries.

I would go there once or two to try, but I'm not sure that I would do it again because like someone else has said, fries are not a meal. Too it's the kind of food that you can easily reproduce at home. I prefer eat in a restaurant something that I'm not able to prepare myself.

They used to have a place in the Inner Harbor in Baltimore called Boardwalk Fries. I used to go there to get fries with a bit of vinegar, tomato sauce, and old bay seasoning. I'd sit out on the balcony relaxing and watching the harbor......

They did serve things other than fries, but I never ate any of it!

Only if there was a bar in the middle of it that served all sorts of alcoholic beverages.....Or if it was a stand at the mall, in the food court, that might work.
I do enjoy chili cheese fries...

There's a place in Manhattan called Pomme Frites and that's all they make - Belgain style fries with all sorts of dipping sauces.

One of the great fry places was on the boardwalk (in NJ) called Chippy's - they were quite delicious.

You would have to kick me out to get me to leave!

The only thing is, french fries are generally pretty cheap, so you'd have to sell a lot of them to make any money, or you'd have to charge a lot for them, or you'd have to sell other things to accompany them to run up the tab a bit.
