I'm looking to make one of these for my daughter's birthday. Could I just follow a traditional chocolate chip cookie recipe and just bake it all at once, or do I need a special recipe. If I had to guess I'd say I'd need a specialized recipe due to the large amount that I'd have to bake.

I searched the internet for one but all I turned up for numerous cookie recipes. Thanks in advance to everyone.

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE CAKE
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts
6 oz. chocolate chips
Cream butter, sugars, vanilla and egg. Use a spoon - not a mixer! Then add dry ingredients, then nuts and chocolate chips. Spread on greased pizza pan. Bake 375 degrees for 10 minutes.

when I bake a box cake mix, all I do is add 1-1/2 cup chocolate chips to batter, but I've always put the batter in cake pan first then gradually stir in chips swirling w/butter knife gently as not to scrape bottom of pan so you do not scrape the greased+floured step involved.
