Nope. My friend's sister was born in November and her name is April. Kinda off topic, but my neighbor's daughter is named January. How odd.

Is this a serious question?!?! No of course not All females in the world named April were born in April. I know a couple of girls names April and none of them were born that month. I also know a women named May and she was not born in May. The people that do choose to name their children the same name of a month are hopefully not doing it because thats when their kid was born.

No, I know a girl named April who was not born in April. Just like how not all Mays and Junes were born in May or June.

No, my name is April and I was born in October. I do get asked that a lot, but I wouldn't change my name to something else just because of it. It's actually a good way for people to start conversations with me.

No. It's fine to name a girl April, even if she wasn't born in April.

No, my friend was born at the end of March and her name is April. It's just a name, like June....not all women with that name were born in that month. :)

I'm going to comment on this thread (eight years after it was posted) because this is something that has been bugging me lately and your question is the only place I can vent. even if no one is really listening. It'll make me feel better and I won't look quite as crazy, lol.
To answer your (probably insincere) question, no, not all girls named April were born in April... I just wasn't lucky enough to be in that majority :(. Now every time some smartaleck asks, "Your name is April? Were you born in April too?" I'm forced to answer, "Yea, I was actually." Their disbelief and/or smugness is almost always legendary because they never actually expect that to be the case.
April (aside from my birthday) is HANDS DOWN my least favorite month of the entire year. No, the irony isn't lost on me. Do you know what it's like to hear thousands of people say your name constantly over an entire month and, half the time, not actually be talking to YOU? IT'S SO EMBARRASSING TO ACCIDENTALLY INTERRUPT SOMEONE MID-SENTENCE WHO IS TELLING ANOTHER PERSON THE DATE BECAUSE THEY SAID THE MONTH FIRST!
Person 1: Hey what date it is? (Me not listening)
Person 2: It's April fif-
Me: (instantly) What?
Person 2: Huh? Oh, sorry... I wasn't talking to you, I was just telling them the date.
Me: Oh... Uh, no problem. My bad. (internally dying)
That doesn't seem like a big deal, but imagine having the same thing happen almost EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR THIRTY DAYS. I'm never able to prepare for it either! Even though I know it's going to happen in advance, it's just reflexive to respond to someone when you hear the sound of your name!
DAMN YOU MOM! DAMN YOU STRAIGHT TO HELL FOR BEING SO LAZY AS TO NAME YOUR DAUGHTER AFTER THE MONTH SHE WAS BORN IN! AND TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY, SHE GAVE ME HER MIDDLE NAME TOO! LAZINESS! PURE, UNADULTERATED LAZINESS I SAY!

No it's not strange at all, my daughters middle name is Mae and she just so happens to have been born in may and it drives me nuts when ppl think it's because of her birth date. Mae is a form of Mary and a common name, the same applies to April, which is derived from Avril and means opening in latin.
