I need to share a PPT presentation but don't want people to make changes or extract content from it. Is there a way to do this? This PPT will be shared by people I don't know.

Great answers - but how do I save it as a PPS? I don't see any options to do this. I'm dumb here - help me out!

Pretty hard to avoid extracting content. The simplest option to deter editing is to save as a pps (a slide show).

More reliable method involves getting Adobe Acrobat and converting to a PDF. But that's not a cheap solution.

The only way is to convert your ppt file to pdf file. You can use Adobe Acrobat Writer to do this.

You can set a read only attribute to the file (right click file>properties>check read-only). This does not mean that they cant just uncheck the read-only box though..

go to save as, click the drop down menu next to "save as type"
pick powerpoint show(pps).

after you create the file. right click on the file. click properties, next to "attributes" check read only, click "ok".
