I do. I don't worry at all about cross contamination if its food that's going to be cooked.
If it's something that worries you you can get colour coded boards & knives but for the home cook it's really not necessary. So long as you wash your hands, knife & board before starting other jobs there's nothing to worry about.

Surely, just flip your chopping board over if you chopped up your chicken first, otherwise, as has been said before, chop the veg first, then the chicken,,,, no problem then.

I would chop veg first, put it to the side on plate, then do chicken. But never use a wooden board to chop meat!!

I'm a chef and it's ok if it's all being cooked together, you only have to worry about not washing your board properly afterwards, because if it wasn't and you put some cooked meat on the board after say raw chicken been on it,then that's cross-contamination and that's dangerous, getting seperate boards for meat, veg, dairy, fish and cooked foods helps.

I personally think it would be OK. But what would be better would be to chop the veggies first, set aside, then the chicken. I'm sure our ancestors didn't worry about this, but we do now. By the time they're all cooked through together, they'll be fine.

If you cut the Veg first, then yes... BUT
I've never, never let anything touch raw chicken or egg.
Contrary to the law of, "if it's being cooked together" Raw veg can become contaminated and unless you cook it "all the way through" It can still make you sick. By all the way through I mean, lets say a carrot, to almost mush. Who wants that?
It can be dangerous yes.

I suppose, but I always chop the chicken first, put it on the side, thoroughly wash the knife and board and then chop the veggies.

They are going in the same pot together so i don't see why not. It's just common sense to say to you to make sure you wash the board before chopping anything else.

If your worried about contamination and stuff why don't you cut the veg up first then the meat because then you won't cross contaminte the veg! Plus you'll be washing the meat off when your doing the washing up.
